It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Father & Husband, Colin James Weaver, on May 21, 2019 at age 81, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Colin proudly served as a Grenadier Guard with the British Army's #1 Company; 3rd Battalion in Cyprus 1954 - 1957. He arrived in Canada in 1965 from Bristol, England with his young family ready to start a successful career in the flooring business. Colin moved from the Lower Mainland to Naramata in 1989 and settled in Penticton in 2007.
Colin is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jacqueline, 3 children; sons Graeme (Wanda) and Alan (Wendi) and daughter Lisa Trim (Darren); 8 grandchildren; Colleen (Darryn), Courtney, Alisha, Brandon (Sarah), Emily, Jacob, Tyler and Lucas; and 4 great grandchildren; Mackenzie, Jackson, Jamie and Noah.
The family would like to thank the caring Doctors, Nurses and Volunteers at the Cancer Clinic and the Moog & Friends Hospice House for the care and love they showed Colin.
A private family celebration of Colin's life will be held at the Penticton Lakeside Cemetery Columbarium in September 2019.
