With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Darryl Steven Guza who lost a short but hard-fought battle with cancer January 12, 2018 in Penticton.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Bonnie; children, Ryan (Heather), Melanie (Jason) and Lindsay (Michael); grandchildren, Maeven and Adelyn; mother-in-law, Thalia and many more extended family.
Darryl was born in Natal, BC January 2, 1945 and moved to Penticton with his wife in 1970. He was a teacher in the Penticton School District for 38 years and spent the next 7 years working with student teachers from multiple Universities. He had a true passion for teaching and touched the lives of so many people.
He was an avid walker with a love for music. Darryl and his wife could often be found together tending to their beautiful garden. Although he only had a short time with his precious granddaughters, Maeven and Adelyn, he cherished every moment he had with them.
At Darryl's wish there will be no service.
In lieu of flowers memorial tributes may be directed to Moog & Friends Hospice House.
