FINNER, David Francis

Died peacefully, surrounded by family following his battle with cancer on Wednesday, June 14th, 2017 at age 62. Dave was many things to many people, and most of all he was an amazing loving husband and father. Sadly missed by his loving wife Linda of 37 years, daughter Cari, her husband Darin and grandchildren Sidney and Charlie, sons Ryan and Brendan and their partners Brian and Katie, as well as his sister Barb, brother Pat (Ruth), sister-in-law Kelly (Ray), brother-in-law Peter, and many more extended family and friends.

He enjoyed his 40-year banking career because of the people he met and the relationships he built. Dave was passionate about The Dallas Cowboys, playing golf and enjoyed nothing more than a cold beer, Cheez Whiz and crackers, and a Me-n-Ed’s pizza. What we will miss most is his strong presence, his sense of humour and his unconditional love.

A mass celebrating Dave’s life will be held at St. Ann’s Parish, 1298 Main St., Penticton on Saturday, June 24th at 10:30 a.m. and a Celebration of Life at Deep Roots Winery at 5:30pm.

The family wishes to thank the medical staff of Moog & Friends Hospice for their compassionate care. In lieu of floral tributes, kindly forward donations in Dave’s memory to either Okanagan Hockey Community Foundation(okanaganhockeyfoundation.com) or to The Prostate Cancer Foundation BC (prostatecancerbc.ca).
