Dianne passed away suddenly after a brief battle with cancer at Penticton Regional Hospital on May 21, 2019. She is survived by her loving family - husband Essio, daughters Nancy Nyhus and Susan Anderson, son-in-law Lloyd Nyhus and the lights of her life - grandchildren Caitlin, Brooke and Braeden. Survived by her sister Monica Leir, her nieces and nephews - Gail Winter (Verne), Joannie Forsyth (Jim), Bruce Gibson (Jean), Jane Weitzel (Mike), Jennifer Leir, Mark Leir (Rosie), Judy Tidball, Elaine Mearns (Mitch) and Bob Tidball (Shannon) and many more extended family. Dianne was predeceased by her parents, Dorothy and Sidney Gibson, brother Peter Gibson and sister Janet Tidball.
The family wishes to thank the staff on Level 5 of the David Kampe Tower for their compassionate care and understanding.No service by request. Dianne was born in the old Haven Hill Hospital. She spent her entire life in Penticton, graduating from Pen-Hi in 1957. She loved her family, her garden and her local history - always the smiling face when you went into the Penticton Museum where she worked until retirement. Dianne will be remembered as the elegant and gracious lady that she was. Rest easy now mom. xoxo
