It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dolorès Després on July 9, 2021 at the age of 73. Dolorès passed away peacefully at home in the presence of her family.
Dolorès was born on November 30, 1947 to parents Bernardin and Liliane Després in Sherbrooke, QC where she grew up with her 7 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by her son: Jocelyn (Sharon), her daughter: Julie (Kate), as well as her grand daughters: Danielle (Keelan) and Stephanie, and great grandchildren: Joshua and Kylaina.
Dolorès attended hairdressing school in Montreal at the young age of 15. Her devotion and passion for hairdressing was truly admirable. Her knowledge and expertise lead her to dedicate 57 years of her life to her career and she loved every minute of it. She built a special bond with her clientele, many of whom became very precious friends.
Dolorès moved to Penticton, BC in 1990 and she never looked back. She enjoyed the outdoors, golfing and was an avid skier, having spent countless hours at Apex Mountain Resort. Her love for gardening was undeniable and her rose garden was an attraction for many people.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and medical staff for their compassionate care. We are also grateful for her loyal customers and friends.
