Apr 20, 1934 - Nov 23, 2017
After a courageous battle with cancer, Don passed away peacefully, November 23, 2017.

Do not grieve for me, from pain I'm free.

I'm following the path God has laid, you see.

I took His hand when I heard His call.

I turned and left it all.

If my parting has left a void, then fill it with happy memories.

My life's been full, I'll remember much...

great times, plenty of golf, the love of family and good friends, and my beloved dog, Brandi.

Parents: Frank and Marie (Woller) Apolzer, born in Mr, Hungary.  Don always said his parents were the best mom and dad anyone could ever have.

Sadly, Don was predeceased by his loving son Bruce Gordon Apolzer (Elaine), Honolulu Hawaii; brothers: Frank Apolzer (Rose), Abbotsford; Joe Apolzer, Penticton; sister: Theresa (Tess) Jellison (Curly), Vernon, B.C.

Survived by his partner of 35 years, Lorraine Pattison, Penticton, B.C.; daughter Lori (Apolzer) Phillips - (mother of children: Carroll), Penticton; grandson: Cody Phillips, Penticton; sister: Darlene Greenwood (Reg), Penticton; Brother: John Apolzer (Lorraine), Penticton; and his best friend and nephew: Rod Jellison (Lynn), Port Coquitlam, B.C.; as well as nieces and nephews.

Don grew up in beautiful Penticton. He wasn't enticed to wonder much, except to go to Palm Springs, Ca.  He was well-known in the south Okanagan for his flooring business, Aladdin Floors/Carpet One, retiring in 1993. He was an avid member of the Penticton Golf & Country Club, since 1979, and also spent 11 years as a volunteer fireman for the Penticton Fire Department. Don always lived by the motto, "Work Hard, Play Hard.

The family would like to thank Dr. T. Phillips; Dr. D. Kincade; Andy Moog and Friends Hospice House; the Penticton and Kelowna Cancer Centres; and the dedicated nurses in the chemo department, especially Amy and Marie; and the Palliative Care Nurses, Rhonda and Carrie - Much love and many hugs from Don for all your quality care and genuine compassion!
