1932-2016
Born in Ridgetown, Ontario May 16, 1932; passed away on July 23, 2016 at Haven Hill Retirement Centre in Penticton, B.C. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Donna. We find comfort that she will now be reunited with her mother, Isabelle, and son, Patrick. Our mother Donna was a strong and independent woman from whom we learned many things, mostly Survive, Learn, Love and Laugh!! Donna loved to cook, drink red wine and spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mom had owned, and operated, restaurants, gas bars and 7 Eleven stores. She had even passed the B.C. Real Estate exam. Donna was predeceased by her father and her stepfather, Cecil Woods; brothers, Earl and Leonard; mother, Isabelle and son, Patrick Ryan. She leaves to mourn sons, Jerry, Gary (Jackie), Brian (Kim) Gagnier; daughters, Barb (Bob) Hornick and Connie Katona (Penticton, BC); stepchildren, Lori, Allan and Bernie; grandson Aaron Ryan, grandchildren and great grandchildren and soon to be great great grandchild; brothers, Ken (Faith); John (Dianne) and Donald (Muriel) as well as nieces, nephews and many friends.
