Doug passed away on Thursday February 3rd at Penticton Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Douglas Albert Simpson was born in Leamington, Ontario on January 17th, 1938, to his parents Viola and Allan. He was the brother to Eugene, Charles, and Barbara.
Doug leaves behind his loving wife Elsie, after 57 years of marriage. He is survived by his sons Richard, Darryl Bryan, and Bradley, as well as his Grandchild Liam. Doug had a large extended family and was known as Grandpa to many others.
Doug worked most of his career in General and Furniture store management.
Doug loved the Lord and would open his heart and home to many people. He cared deeply about the youth of his community and church.
Doug enjoyed gardening, garage sales and coffee with his friends.
A private viewing was held by his immediate family followed by Cremation.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
