May 9, 1938 - October 18, 2021
Edward John Robinson, better known as Ted passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2021. Ted was born on May 9, 1938, in Williams Lake, British Columbia. As a kid he grew up on a farm in Soda Creek just North of Williams Lake.
In his early twenties he raced cars in the interior of BC. He drifted around dirt tracks in Williams Lake, Quesnel and Prince George and often battled for 1 first place.
Ted loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. His goal was less about getting the game and more about getting out into nature. He extended his love of the outdoors to his family by taking them on spectacular hikes in the Canadian Rockies at Mt Robson, Mt Assiniboine and on the Skyline trail. They also hiked the Historic Chilkoot Pass from Skagway, AK to Bennet lake BC.
Later in life Ted shifted his interests to golf. He played rain or shine, summer or winter. He was always willing and happy to join a stranger for a round to "chew the fat". His major golf goal was to golf in every province in Canada, which he achieved in fall of 2003.
Ted is survived by his wife Marion Robinson, daughter Jocelyn/ Pat Jamieson, son Scott/Angela Robinson, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and his brother John Phillips. In his last days he was looking forward to seeing his daughter Kim Andrews and his Grandmother Julianne Guy, who predeceased him. He will be missed by Friends and Family.
