Fay Lydia Newhouse
Fay passed away peacefully at home following a brief battle of lung and liver cancer on September 16, 2017.
She is survived by her three sisters: Aggie Clark, Juanita Conn and Ona (Al) Beatty; her son Gordon (Connie) Detjen; her daughters Sandi (Adam Eneas) Detjen, Joe-Ann (Richard) Tessier, and Glenda (Ted Shipka) Palmer; her grandson Sid (Sandy Peckinpaugh) Hughes; her granddaughters Josie (Mark) Gager and Carlie (Ken) Funk; nieces and nephews and great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held October 21, 2017 upstairs at the Elks Lodge, 343 Ellis Street in Penticton from noon to 4:00 p.m.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Everden Rust Funeral Services, 1130 Carmi Avenue, Penticton from 2-3 p.m.
Thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Penticton Regional Hospital and the nurses and staff of the Palliative Care Program for their total and compassionate care.
