Dozy passed away in the early morning hours of January 26, 2020, at the age of 96.
She was a true Penticton pioneer, born May 3, 1923, at the old Haven Hill hospital into one of Penticton's original orchard families. She lived her entire life in Penticton and was always up for visits from old friends and stories about the town. With the love and dedicated care from family members, Dozy was able to live a high quality of life and pass away peacefully in her own home.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert "Mac" McCarthy in 2010. Survived by her 3 children; Dick, Evelyn & Marie, 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Respecting her wishes, a service will not be held but her life will be celebrated by all those who knew her.
The family would like to thank all who have reached out at this difficult time.
