1926 – 2016
Born August 7, 1926 at Haven Hill Hospital in Penticton, Fred passed on August 4, 2016 surrounded by his family at Haven Hill Retirement Centre in Penticton. He is survived by his loving wife, Gertie; daughters, Grace (Gord), Linda (Charly), Sharlene (Ed) and son, Brian (Charlene); grandchildren, Curt (Jen), Denise (Mel), Eric (Jayce), Tawnya (Travis), Shiloa (Josh), Kelsey (Kurt), Robin (Crystal), Allan (Stephanie), Sarah (Brian); 13 great grandchildren and many more extended family. Fred worked for over 44 years for the CPR. He loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. A Celebration of his life will be held at Everden Rust Funeral Chapel, 1130 Carmi Ave., Penticton on Friday, August 12, 2016 – 2:00 p.m. The family wish to extend special thanks to Dr. De Kock and all the staff at Haven Hill for their kindness, compassion and all the ways they have helped and cared for Fred.
