Apr 24, 1949 - Feb 3, 2018
With much sadness, the family of Glen Alexander Harris announces his passing on Saturday, February 3 after a short but well fought battle with cancer.

He will be remembered and greatly missed by his wife Kathryn, daughter Shelly, Son-in-law Justin and treasured grandsons Eli, Ozzy, Griffin and Tavish; his siblings, Jon, Eloise (Tom), Zelda and Philip (Donalda); Sister-in-law Susan (David); many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Glen was raised in Maple Ridge, BC and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed climbing trees, hiking mountains, exploring and riding his Harley.  His working career was varied with two of his favorite memories being staking mining claims in the NWT and also working for the BC Salmon Commission.  While with the Department of Highways, he was part of the crew that surveyed the Coquihalla Highway.

He also spent 33 years with the City of Penticton working as a Surveyor/Draftsman/AutoCAD Tech.  He had a strong work ethic and was loyal to both family and friends.  He treasured time spent with his grandsons.

Glen will be remembered for his love of family and his quirky habits like collecting pennies, quizzing people on countries and capitals and wearing red socks on payday.

Special thanks to Dr. Nicolaas Walters and to the incredible Nurses and Staff at the Moog and Friends Hospice House.  Naomi, Teri, Ginger and Lori, we will be forever grateful for your kindness and professionalism.

A celebration of life will be held on Feb 24th 2-4 pm at Pine Hills Golf Course, Penticton. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Moog and Friends Hospice would be kindly appreciated.

Adios Glen xo
