Born March 14, 1935 in York, Ontario; passed away February 19, 2018 in Penticton, BC.
Raised by his grandmother in Northern Canada, Gordon joined the army and served from 1953 to 1959 in Korea, Regular Force. He served 1961 to 1965 in the Reserves and then settled in Penticton where he lived most of his life at Gopher City on Green Mountain Rd.
He loved his horses and the ranching life. Aboriginal culture and traditions were very important to him. He spent lots of time volunteering at En'owkin Centre, assisting with cultural arts and supporting Aboriginal students. He was involved with the Ooknakane Friendship Centre for many years, volunteering and supporting their society.
The highlight of his week was going to Okanagan Auctions every Thursday. Scotty was a truly good-hearted man who will be missed by his many friends in the South Okanagan.
A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will take place Wednesday, March 7, 2018 - 10:30 a.m. at the En'owkin Centre on Green Mtn. Rd. Penticton.
