Aug 3, 1921 - Dec 6, 2017
Grace Mary Louisa Pearce (Turrell) was born August 3, 1921 in a cottage near Sussex, England.

She grew up on farm tending to animals and making many memories with her sister Gladys and cousin May. In 1941 when she was 20 years old the world was at war and Grace went to work in a factory producing Lancaster Bomber parts. It was during this time that she met Robert (Bob) Ernest Pearce, a young Canadian military man stationed overseas. They quickly fell in love and were married April 3, 1943. Shortly after they wed Bob was stationed in North Africa and Sicily before returning home.

In 1945, Grace, a young war bride, courageously boarded a large ship and travelled alone to Canada to join her husband. Grace and Bob reunited and settled in Vancouver, BC.

In 1946 they welcomed their only child Robert (Bob) Pearce Jr. Grace enjoyed many adventures in life including travelling within Canada, owning a cattle ranch in Rossland BC, travelling to England and travelling to Hawaii.

Grace enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, watching the CFL and was an avid gardener. Grace found peace and enjoyment being outside in her garden listening to the songs of the birds. Grace enjoyed visiting with loved ones and chatting over a cup of tea and some arrowroot biscuits. Grace loved being a mother, grandma and "great gram" and always took the time to make everyone feel special and loved.

Grace lived a long and full life surrounded by love.

She left us on December 6, 2017 at the age of 96 to rejoin her beloved husband of 60 years Bob as well as friends and family who passed on before her.

She will be dearly missed by all who loved her including son Robert (Heather); grandchildren: Lynne (John), Shari (Dean) and Mike (Karen); great grandchildren: Noah, Sam, Jake, Memphis, Piper and Jenna as well as many extended family members and friends.

Internment will take place in the summer.
