Harold passed away at the age of 92, on July 03, 2021 peacefully while surrounded by his family.
Harold was born in Bulwark, Alberta (now a ghost town) on March 07, 1929 to Bill and Maria Stein and was raised in Summerland BC on an Orchard. He met his sweetheart, Marlene, in Summerland and married in 1955. Harold resided in Okanagan Falls for the last 62 years. His career was a driver, first dump trucks, then on to CP Transport for 18 years, Byers Transport, and then he found his calling as a tour bus driver for Western Bus Lines. He had an impressive three and half million accident free miles in his career. He was an avid golfer and was quite involved with the Twin Lakes Golf Course.
Harold is survived by his daughter Heather (Gary) Petersen of Penticton, and his son David (Dawn) Stein of Keremeos. Grandchildren Stephanie (Doug), Greg (Christy), Matt (Terra), Cassi (Wes) all from Penticton and Tara (Ernest) of Keremeos and 11 great grandchildren, also his sister Eleanor of Wenatchee WA., and his brother in law Bob (Dorothy) Haddrell of Keremeos and a great many nieces and nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his wife Marlene in 2006 and his brother Gordon in 2012.
There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
