We are saddened to announce that our beloved Father Ian Birds passed away Thursday, October 28th at the age of 80 years old. Ian is pre deceased by his lovely wife of over 50 years, Sylvia. Survived by his daughter Linda; son Graham (Alyson) grandchildren Jordyn and Elliott; daughter Sue (Rick) grandson Devon. He was pre deceased by his three siblings, Walter, Stuart and Irene, sister and brother-in-law Mary and Jack.
Also survived by Nephews Fraser (Loraine) and Bailey; Jason (Jane) Cody and Sonja; Ken (Jane) and Frances; Brent (Paulette), sister-in-law Olga (Ken pre-deceased) and longtime friends Bill and Helen and Harold and Lorna.
Ian enjoyed a long wonderful career as Deputy Clerk with the City of Penticton and was involved in the community coaching and volunteering for many years.
He will miss his Badminton, Tennis, Fishing, Gym and work friends. His retirement was spent enjoying his children and Grandchildren, swimming the days away.
