I saw where a lady had written her own obituary and I thought "such fun"! I'm really going to have the "last word"! Apparently, I died.
I was born June 9, 1924 at Nokomis, Sask at 5 a.m. I've instructed my family to say, "Hallelujah, the old gal got what she wanted!!" and rejoice that the next journey has begun.
Some of my fondest adventures were raising three delightful children and cherishing 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Being the first lady cub-master in Saskatoon was such an honor and following that I was an assistant Cub leader in Winnipeg, then a Brownie leader in Penticton. Starting the Peach Blossom Chorus of Sweet Adelines in 1970 gave many years of pleasure. Singing with the Tune-agers and doing funny skits was delightful. The church choir was also great.
Golfing gave me lots of fresh air as I had par on every hole and took a few extra strokes for exercise.
My fabulous family are sons Don Parrott (Denise), Norm Parrott (Dorica) and grandchildren Lyndsay, Michelle, Rodney, Krista, Evan, Samantha, Dekker, and Braden, plus great grandchildren Dominic, Olin, Carson and Dottie.
Tragically, my daughter Marsha was taken from us in 2005 and granddaughter Lisa in 2017. Then there is the loving family of 6- Lorna, Brian, Leslie, Glen, Ross, Mary + their spouses and families from my marriage to Roger. How richly blessed can one old lady be?
Thank you to all my friends and family for making life such an interesting and rewarding experience.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Penticton United Church, 696 Main Street, Penticton, at 3 pm on Thursday, January 18, 2018 followed by a reception in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the SPCA.
