Joan passed away peacefully at Westview Place in Penticton on October 31, 2019. She was born on April 19, 1931 in Stettler, Alberta and was the youngest of 11 children.
She is survived by her daughter Bonnie Malcolm and grandson Braden; her daughter Brenda (Rolf ) Manthey, granddaughter Jennifer, grandson Chris and great grandson Daniel as well as her sister Phyllys Jensen and brother Bob Lee.
Joan worked at Sears for many years until her retirement. She was very creative and enjoyed sewing, knitting and crafting. She also liked to dance and carrot cake was her favorite. Joan said "whatever you do, do it well." When her grandchildren were young, Nana loved to read them stories and sing silly songs. Respecting Joan's wishes, there will be no service.

Joan's family would like to thank Dr. Watters and all the staff of Westview Place north, which was Joan's home for the past 3 years. Her daughter Bonnie is grateful for the caring, kindness and support the staff gave to her and her mom. You will all be missed.
