LAWRENCE FARNHAM

Passed away peacefully on February 6, 2015 at the Penticton Regional Hospital. He was 90 years of age. He is survived by Myrtle, his wife of 65 years; and his children, Bob (Lois), Barry (Linda), Brad (Lisa); and his brother Ron. He was predeceased by his daughter, Kathleen (Alan) and son Ken (Myrna). Lawrence was greatly admired by 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren who loved spending time with him in his garden. Lawrence & Myrtle are longtime Penticton residents having moved here in 1964. Lawrence, a WWII veteran, operated the original boat rental beside the SS Sicamous and Kelly’s Grocery across the street. He retired from Moduline Industries in 1989. Lawrence was an accomplished bowler and active golfer at both Totem & Twin Lakes. He was also a popular member of the Penticton Retirement Centre Bridge Group. Up to his final days at the Hamlets, Lawrence was a popular character and will be greatly missed by his family and those who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Everden Rust Funeral Chapel on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon to follow.
