In loving memory ~
Leonard Smith, of Athens Creek Retirement Lodge, passed away peacefully at Moog Hospice House, with his family by his side. He was one month shy of his 100th birthday. The last of his generation. Len lived a long and happy life, with Shirley, (predeceased), his wife of 68 years.
He leaves behind his three children, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, who called him GGD.
Born in Urmston, England, and emigrated to Canada with his young family in 1958. Settling in Richmond, BC, before retiring in Penticton.
He was a true family man and adventurer; camping, hiking and traveling the world. He was a lover of nature and an avid motorcyclist, belonging to the Penticton Motorcycle Club. He travelled by motorcycle on many trips including across North America. He was the definition of "living life to the fullest," even sky diving and zip-lining in his 90's. He had many adventures throughout his lifetime and had deep devotion to his wife and family.
We will miss him dearly and will always hold our memories of him close to our hearts.
There will be a family gathering at a future date.
