Linda Katherine Allen (nee Gole)

April 27, 1945 – March 4, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Katherine Allen (nee Gole). She passed away peacefully, at Penticton Moog and Friends Hospice House on Wednesday March 4, 2020, after a short battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 55 years Herb Allen, daughter Victoria Allen (Edward Machial), sisters Kathy Gole (Bernard), Nancy (Al) Evans, and nephews Gordon (Julie) and Joel (Megan). She was predeceased by her parents Leonard and Grace Gole and brother Ross Gole. Linda was born in Kenora, Ontario, her family moved to the Okanagan when she was 14. Linda was a dedicated schoolteacher for 40 years. She taught in Hedley, Port Hardy and then in Penticton at Snowden Elementary, KVR Middle School and Wiltse Elementary. She had a talent for art and taught it with such passion. She loved cooking, gardening, knitting, painting and was an avid quilter. She also loved antique cars and her and Herb attended many car shows over the years. She had a love for collecting antique dishes and many other rarities.
At this time the Celebration of Life for Linda that was to be held on Friday, April 3, 2020 has been postponed until further notice. The family thanks you for your understanding at this time.
