Passed away peacefully following a battle with dementia, while surrounded by family, at Penticton Regional Hospital on Wednesday, December 6, 2017.
Isabel is survived by her loving family: parents, Rosa and Domingos; brothers, John and Manny; sisters in law, Rosanne and Val; nephews, Cole, Ben, Anthony and Mark and niece, Kathleen.
A Prayer Service was held on Friday, December 8, and a Funeral Service on Saturday, December 9 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Penticton with burial at Lakeview Cemetery.
Isabel was our innocent and special angel. She gave us many gifts and we will miss her every day. We take solace in remembering her tender, loving and humorous ways.
The family appreciates the unconditional love/support of extended family members and friends, BC Special Olympics, special education teachers at schools and colleges, the Staff of Community Living Kitimat and Penticton, McNaughton House Staff, the Nurse Next Door Organization, Dr. Gans, the doctors and nurses of Penticton Regional Hospital, the caring staff of Bethesda House and Father Rex.
So many people helped to give Isabel her wings to fly here on Earth. She truly appreciated her life, her family and friends. And now, she is undoubtedly soaring with her heavenly angels.
