February 10, 1930 - February 20, 2016

Passed away peacefully at Penticton Regional Hospital on Saturday February 20, 2016 at the age of 86. She will be deeply missed by her husband, George; daughter, Carolyn (Howard Anderson); grandchildren Bronwyn and Duncan; brother, Gerald (Mildred) Forsythe; and many nieces and nephews. Marge was predeceased by her parents, Roderick and Anne Forsythe, and sisters, Dorothy Manson and Louise Shank. Marge and George met while serving in the R.C.A.F. and travelled extensively, with a highlight being their time living in Paris, France from 1964 to 1967 with their daughter Carolyn. After her retirement, Marge continued to pursue her love of travel, enjoying trips to Australia, Las Vegas and Hawaii, among others. Marge and George retired to Penticton and have called it home for over 25 years. Marge loved her garden, especially her rhododendrons. She was a very strong person to whom others turned in time of need. She volunteered at the IODE Thrift Store and the Distress Line among other endeavours. There will be no service by request, however a memorial tea will be held at a later date. Marge’s family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Robin Masson for his compassionate care and efforts and to the hospital staff for arranging for George and Marge to be together. Sincere gratitude and thanks to Sharon Thompson and Sherry Dupuis for all their exceptional care and concern. Many thanks also to staff at the Hamlets and Southwood. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Messages of condolences may be sent to www.everdenrust.com
