It is hard to sum up into my own words how to shorten such an amazing, dynamic, hilarious, wonderful and kind woman's life, so I've decided to go ahead and say it how she would.
"Well I guess it is my time and I am grateful for the gift of my almost 91 years on this earth and it was a good one! I got to fall in love very young to a handsome wonderful man named Ted Beck and we stayed married for over 49 years until he passed. We were blessed with 2 beautiful children, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A life full of fun, family and friends, there was camping, party's, trips and after a long work week, every weekend was a celebration with drinks, dancing, cards and games and a life filled with light hearted sarcasm, wit and one liners every time we were all together and believe me I could smack talk with the best of them.
I was lucky enough to meet a new love a few years later John Roth and he remained my companion for over 16 years till he passed away. He brought to my life more fun, romance, dancing, trips, scooter races, fresh veggies from his huge garden and man could he cook!
Although I have to leave behind my son Roger (Carrie) Beck, my daughter Cheryl (Gerry) Vissia, my grand daughters Erin (Jeremy) Stangoe and Mindy (George) Thompson and my great grandchildren Toren (Sydney) Einarson, Landon Thompson, Sydney Thompson and my two-bonus great grandkids Kennedy and Dawson Stangoe. I was able to laugh, joke, play cards, visit and enjoy my family and friends right up till the day I passed.
Although my body was tired and weak my mind was sharp! So, what more could I have asked for? I got to say goodbye and hear I love you from all my family left here on earth and I passed peacefully in my sleep with love in my heart and a long life that I could write a book about.
So now I am off to see my grandson Shawn who passed too young. Ted and John, all my sisters, brother, parents, family and all my friends that I haven't seen in way too long, to dance and sing and party like I used to and celebrate with them, one heck of a life!"
We will be planning a celebration of life for this wonderful woman in June, details will be posted closer to the day.
