May 3, 1939 - November 20, 2020
On November 20th our mom, Penny Gage, passed away at Penticton Regional Hospital. It was very unexpected, and myself, Wendy, my brother, Allan, and my sister, Stephanie are shocked and truly devastated.
Mom had such a beautiful spirit. She was always so kind and generous and she was always happiest
when she was helping people. All of our friends loved her, and when we were growing up, all of our friends ... And Bruce, (lol) liked to hang out at our house! That's the kind of mom that she was.
Penny always had a huge love of animals, and so we always had a houseful of wonderfully odd creatures. She was the best mother, always! Even though she worked full time, she could do it all. Easily!
I was so proud of my mom. She was so smart. She had an amazing career as an x-ray technologist at PRH from 1965 to 1997. She was the chief x-ray tech!
Sadly, my father, Ed Gage passed away when he was only 59 years old so my mom had a lot of time on her own. She was never bored though. She drove her huge motorhome around a lot, even to Alaska!
She fixed up her house, built fences and fixed her own cars. There wasn't much that she couldn't do. She was an amazing person. Penny Gage was born on May 3rd 1939 in Haven Hill here in Penticton. She grew up on the orchard on Pearson Rd. with her mom and dad, Phyllis and Bub and her brothers, Bruce, Brian and Gordon Pearson.
Our mom Penny Gage, will be so deeply missed. By everyone who knew her. She was more than our mother she was our friend.
She was my best friend and I cannot wait to see her or to somehow feel her again... She took half of my heart with her.
