Born youngest of eleven siblings on June 4, 1913 in Hohlenstein, Germany; passed away May 29, 2016 in Penticton, BC at the age of 102 years. Mrs. Eichberger is survived by her daughter, Gertie (Bernie) Swanson; grandchildren, Christine, Jen (Ryan) Rickards, James and Kimberly as well as great grandchildren, Chase, Jessie and Madison. She was predeceased by parents, Thomas and Pauline Kucher in 1939; eleven siblings; husbands, Anton Gerstmeir in 1944 and Franz Eichberger in 1989 and her granddaughter, Barbara Grandoni in 2009. Prayers will be said on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at 7:15 pm from St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 1296 Main Street, Penticton with the Funeral Mass to follow on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 10:00 am with Father Rex Velmonte, Celebrant. Cremation will follow at Providence Crematorium with burial of the urn taking place in Keremeos Cemetery on Tuesday, June 7, 2016.
