October 27, 2020
On Tuesday October 27th 2020 at the age of 72, Ralph was reunited with his Father Harold, loving Mother Ragna, two brothers Hans and Ole.
He was a beloved husband to his wife Denise. A wonderful and devoted Father to Madelaine (Ken), Mark (Lorraine), Daniel (Katie). He adored his Grandchildren Ashley (Brian), Jayce, Raymond, Shallon & Yuri (Emily) and his Great grandchildren Nolan, McKenna, McKayla and a wonderful Brother to Sonja and Hilda.
They will remember his big heart, his lively and gregarious and larger than life personality filled with many happy memories. He always ensured that the Sather house was never a dull one filled with lots of laughter. One of everyone's favorite memories of Ralph is when you could hear Ralph saying "well, to make a long story short" before telling us one of his funny stories.
Ralph started playing baseball and hockey at Queens Park in New Westminister at the age of seven. He was always active - whether out on the golf course, playing fastball, watching local sports, local theater or any other events in his town. When Ralph was living in Prince-George he was a active member and President of the Rotary Club and member of "The Toastmasters" and "Sons of Norway".
While living in Prince-George he played fastball for Central Interior Disposers and Mainline Plumbing. When Ralph wasn't playing ball you would find him golfing at the Prince -George Golf and Curling club. In the winter months Ralph enjoyed playing hockey for the Bednesti Bullets hockey team and curling.
Ralph's favorite pastime was entertaining with his friends with a great meal and a great glass of his best scotch with his lovely wife Denise at his side, wherever his home may of been at that time, Granisle, Prince- George, Murch Lake and Penticton. Let's make a toast to you Ralph, "Skal"..
The Covid pandemic prevents us from gathering together to toast and roast Ralph at this time. There will be a celebration of life that will be held in the Spring or Summer of 2021 at a date to be determined. Instead of flowers, we ask that you support a charity of your choice in Ralph's memory.

Your condolences will be approved within one business day. You will need a valid Facebook account. Please email us if you have any questions.
