Mar 15, 2018
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our husband, father, and grandfather, Richard Avedon-Savage, 70, on Thursday, March 15, 2018.

He leaves his wife, Carol; his sons, Richard Jr. and Jason (Claudia); his step children Lisa (Bevan) and Chris (Jo-Ann); grandchildren, Cassandra (Cody), Alexandra, and Alejandra (Matt); his brother, Daniel (Louanne) and sister-in-law, Trisha; and other dear and special family and friends.

Richard was predeceased by his brother, Gordon.

As a young adult, Richard acted on the stage, travelled broadly as a photographer, and dabbled as a small business owner, but he spent the bulk of his career as an advertising consultant. At home, he could be found tending to his garden, tinkering in the shop or feeding his dog, Ginger, too many treats.

Richard loved his family and was incredibly loyal. He saw something to value in everyone, and he had the power to make one feel as though they were the most important and interesting person in the world. His ready laugh and generosity will be missed.

Richard's Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Shatford Centre, 760 Main St., Penticton.

Special thank you to Dr. Paisley and the wonderful and caring nurses and staff of Moog Hospice.

In honour of his memory, donations can be made to Moog and Friends Hospice, Penticton.
