March 9, 1935 – November 9, 2014

Richard was born in Macklin, Saskatchewan but lived most of his life in Penticton, surrendering to cancer after a short but difficult struggle. He had an indomitable spirit and a distinctive sense of humour. He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Katherine; brothers, Leopold, Theodore, Boniface, Frank and Conrad; sisters, Mary, Hilda and Helen. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Marie, of 58 ½ years and his five children, Albert (Marlene), Lorinda (Kevin), Aleta (Russ), Raymond (LeAnna), Donna (Jeff) and 6 grandchildren, Matt, Justin, Brandon, Tyler, Bailey, Katisha; brothers, Werner, Chuck (Arlene), Bob (Margaret); sisters, Bernadetta, Rose, Petronilla (Jim), Louise (Burnie) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. A special thank you to the caring staff of Moog and Friends Hospice House and to Dr. Caskey. The family wishes to thank everyone for their kindness and support. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church (1296 Main St., Penticton) with reception to follow.
