June 27, 1937 – March 24, 2016

Bob passed away peacefully at Moog & Friends Hospice in Penticton from circulation complications on March 24, 2016. He was born and raised in Moosejaw, Saskatchewan and was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Thory Henderson; younger brother, Jack and his first wife, Sharon. He leaves behind his loving spouse, Yvonne Plewis; children, Dean (Linda), Scott (Kara), Tracy and Jodi; ten grandchildren that he adored; his sister, Betty; nieces, Jill (Vehnea) and Julie (Christian, Braydon and Kalla), Doug Plewis (Monique, Madison and Darien), Cheryl and Jesse Plewis as well as many other extended family and friends. After receiving his commerce degree at UBC, he went on to an illustrious career and exciting journey. He spent 10 years with IBM across Canada, ran BC Tel on Vancouver Island, Senior VP of ICBC, VP and General Manager of Businessland, consulting work with Price Waterhouse and other large companies—even knew Steve Jobs! Bob was the guy who “Got Things Done”. He was greatly admired and respected in the working world. Bob was a wonderful father and family man and loved the phone calls from his kids that made him giggle. Their high academic and athletic achievements gave him great joy. He was admired and loved by all who met him and his ability to always make people laugh and his kindness personified who he was. In memory of Bob, do a small act of kindness for someone today. The family wishes to thank all the wonderful, caring nurses on MedS3 and the angels at Hospice. A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016, 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Everden Rust Funeral Services, 1130 Carmi Ave., Penticton.
