Paulson, Robert Thomas

October 8, 1940 ~ July 10, 2017

Robert T. Paulson, age 76, passed away at home on July 10, 2017 in Penticton, after a long struggle with cancer. Bob is survived by his wife Beverley of 51 happy years, sons Robert (Stephanie) Paulson, Brad Paulson, grandson Gage Paulson who fondly called his grandpa ‘Boompa’ and granddaughter Kirsten Fowler. He is preceded in death by his father Stan Paulson 1945, Mother Margaret Watts 2005 and stepfather Mick Watts 1993. Bob started highway driving when he was 17, after 2 years he joined the RCMP in 1959 to 1964, stationed in southern Saskatchewan. His love of the open road drew him back for the following 52 years. Bob was loved for his humour and his big laugh, always ready with a funny story. He had a passion for writing poems and wished some day to write a children’s book. Big Bob enjoyed camping and boating with his family and friends. The family would like to thank the Kelowna Cancer Clinic, Penticton Hospital, Respiratory Therapist Richard Sarada, and a special thank you to Dr. Mark Lawrie for his compassion and support. A ‘Celebration of Life’ will be held at Providence Funeral Home, 1258 Main Street, Penticton, on Saturday, July 22, 2017, 1:00 to 4:00 PM. We would love to have you share your thoughts and stories about Bob. We know they’re out there.
