August 15, 1935 - February 10, 2021
After sharing love and memories with all his family, Ross William George Axworthy died peacefully on February 10, 2021 at Penticton Regional Hospital. He was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan August 15, 1935.
Ross lived and worked all his adult life in Penticton where he was a strong and proud supporter of his city. Ross' contributions to the community with organizations and volunteering will be remembered by all those he touched.
Whether old friends or new acquaintances he made a lasting impression with his positive thinking, quick wit and infectious laugh. Ross loved to travel and was an unofficial but enthusiastic ambassador for his city wherever he went in the world. Ross was instrumental in establishing Ikeda, Japan as a Sister-City and putting Penticton on the map by arranging reciprocal visits of citizens, bands and students.
Mourning his loss is the family he loved dearly: Evelyn wife of 62 years, elder son Brent (Connie), daughter Shereen (John), son Grant (Natasha), grandchildren of whom Ross was extremely proud, Kirsten, Liam and Robert. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. A celebration of Ross' life will be held at a safer time.
