With heavy hearts we announce the passing of a beautiful lady, Ruby Wurtz.
Ruby was born on November 26, 1929 in Grande Prairie, AB to Fred and Edna Ames and she passed away in Penticton BC on February 22, 2022.
She was the loving mother of 7 children, Darlene (Sam), Gail (Dave), Faye (Rick), Allan, Rose-Marie, Lynn and Michael (Karen). Ruby adored her 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Ruby was predeceased by three loving partners, Tom Stark, Elden Wurtz and Emile Chandonnet.
She will also be very missed by her wonderful friend Rudy.
Ruby will be fondly remembered for never staying in the same place for very long, it was the gypsy in her.
Ruby loved being with her friends and her coffee time was what she looked forward to every day. She also loved spending time at the casino, where she will be remembered as the "lucky lady."
A very special thank you to all the wonderful staff on 4 East of the Penticton Hospital. The care and compassion shown to Ruby were outstanding.
