Shayne was born in Prince Rupert, B.C. and moved to Penticton in April 1966 where he spent his adolescent years.
After graduating from Penticton Secondary School in 1980, he became a truck driver, an industry that he spent the majority of his adult life employed in.
He leaves behind, his mother, Elizabeth Klamut, his siblings Susan (John) Stocks, Wayne (Wendy) Klamut, Kerry (Debbie) Klamut, his three sons, Brandon, Justin, Brent, their mother Linda and granddaughter Jaxx, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
