It is with sadness that the family of Solveig Marie Olson announce her passing on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the age of 89 years. Solveig passed away peacefully at the Prairie Valley Lodge in Summerland, BC.
Solveig is survived by her children; Les (Susan) Olson of Penticton, BC, Mark (Debbie) Olson of Salmon Arm, BC, Dorothy (Alan) Mansfield of Penticton, BC, Ernest (Sandi) Olson of Airdrie, AB, Sharon (Christopher) Korzeniowski of Nobleton, ON and Lillian (Edward) Ripley of Summerland, BC; 26 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Gordon; brother, Leif Hovde and granddaughter, Tamara Ripley.
Solveig was known for her love of life and people. She touched the lives of all who knew her and was dearly loved for her humour, generous spirit, compassion and thoughtfulness.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 11 am at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre, 273 Power Street, Penticton, BC. Interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Penticton, BC.
