May 8, 1950 - Jan 29, 2018
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Trudy Baker of Okanagan Falls BC. Wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, Auntie and friend.

Born in Cranbrook, BC.  May 8, 1950 and passed away in Penticton, BC. January 29, 2018 after a brief struggle with cancer. Trudy left her imprint of her love for life on the many people who crossed her path, her laughter made you laugh, her sense of humour stayed with her right up until the end; always a  quick pun for the nurses.

She loved her holidays to the sunshine and warm blue Caribbean waters. She was a water baby and a beautiful swimmer.  She loved to go camping, heading down the road to Anywhere, BC. to sit around the camp fire with a book and a Pepsi or camp chair in the water enjoying the moment.

Trudy enjoyed watching her favorite hockey team the Penticton Vees, and enjoyed curling. She was a great 'behind the glass curler'.  Loved her games, cards or board games, enjoyed her times playing scrabble with her mother in law, Iris.  Her hobbies were making her own greeting cards and scenery painting, which she was very good at. We will keep these memories forever.

Trudy is remembered and missed by her husband, companion & friend Donald Arksey, sons; Gordon (Tohva), Ron (Teresa), grandchildren; Tyson, Liam, Chantel, Mercedes, Kaeden, great granddaughter Amelia,  sister; Cleo (Bruce) , brothers; Ken (Sydney), Ross,  Mother-in-Law; Iris, sister-in-law; Melody (Knute) brothers in law; Dennis (Darlene), Bob (Dawn), and numerous nieces and nephews.

She also leaves behind step-children and families she brought into her heart when she met Don.

Trudy was sadly predeceased by her sisters; Carmen and Fern, her parents; Olaf and Jean (Northam) Kjenstad, her step father; Gilbert Northam, and father-in-law; Stan Arksey.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends who loved her and all who had the honor to cross her path in life.Thank you to the dedicated Doctors, nurses and volunteers of the Penticton Hospital and Andy Moog Hospice House for the care they gave to Trudy and the support for the family.

In lieu of flowers the family would like contributions to Andy Moog Hospice House in Penticton, BC.
