March 4, 1946 – May 4, 2017
A loving wife, a caring sister, a nurturing mother, and a forgiving friend. Sadly passed away on May 4 surrounded by many family and friends. Violet enjoyed spending time with her loved ones and taking care of her friends. She enjoyed her volunteer work, genealogy and all of her careers in helping others. Violet faithfully attended The Church of Latter-Day Saints that she so loved. She is survived by her Uncle Ed Gerow (Bonnie); sister, Marie; her loving children, Roberta (Lance), Michael and John (Tina); grandchildren, Michael (Jessica), Jade (Joe), Sabastian, and Amber; great grandchildren, Michael and Matthew as well as all her many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will always be remembered for the kind-hearted soul she was. You are invited to join in the celebration of life for Violet and her brother, Robert, on Saturday, May 13, 2017. A graveside service will take place at 11:00am at Lakeview Cemetery, 775 Lower Bench Rd., Penticton with a Memorial Service at the Church of the Latter-Day Saints, 2946 South Main St., Penticton following at 3:00 p.m. Viewing will be held at Everden Rust Funeral Home, 1130 Carmi Ave., Penticton from 6:00 p.m. Friday evening.
