It is with great sadness that the family of Wilma Moore of Penticton, BC, announce her passing at the age of 74. Wilma was born in Port Arthur, ON, and moved with her family to Penticton at the age of 13.
Shortly after her move, she met Charlie at a skating rink and love blossomed. In May 1967, she married her high school sweetheart, Charlie Moore, and this year they would have celebrated their 55th anniversary.
Wilma loved life and fought to live it to its fullest. She loved sewing, water skiing, snowmobiling, traveling, and having ice cream any chance she could get. She loved the ladies she volunteered with at the I.O.D.E. and delighted in helping local youth further their education.
Her favourite thing was seeing her children "fly" and watching her grandchildren begin to do the same thrilled her heart. She especially enjoyed hearing them play their instruments, perform, or just show her what they were working on. She adored each one of her family and friends deeply.
She is predeceased by her mother, Lenora, and her father, William.
She is survived and celebrated by her loving husband Charlie, children; Brenda (Bruce), Bill (Sharon), and Peggy (Alan), Grandchildren; Brett (Alyssa), Brody (Jessica), Joshua, Alexis, Kaitlyn, Henry, and Jasper, Great-granddaughters; Ellianna and Sadie, Siblings; Trudy (Lawrence), MaryAnne, John (Peggy) and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Special thanks to Penticton Regional Hospital ICU for their gentle and compassionate care of Wilma in her final days. In lieu of flowers please donate to COPD Canada. Memorial Service will be held on April 9, 2022, at Penticton Alliance Church at 2 pm.
