On behalf of the South Okanagan Victim Assistance Society, I would like to say thank you to all who came out to support the recent Burger Fundraiser at the Barking Parrot. We were able to raise $376 for our programs which support victims of abuse: community-based victim services, men’s counselling and women’s counselling.
While the funds are much appreciated, we also value the continued community support from you and businesses like the Barking Parrot. A great thank you goes out to Mandy, Collin and the Barking Parrot crew who arranged the fundraiser and flipped burgers all evening. We feel honoured to have your support.
