Walking into an empty curling rink on Wednesday was truly terrifying. Thanks to your newspaper coverage and the unexpected, but much appreciated help of Jade Line Moving and Storage, the wonderful people of Penticton came forward and filled it. Just as terrifying, was wondering how we were going to empty the Curling Rink on Saturday.
Again, the great support by your newspaper made that happen by 2 p.m. We raised $13,500 for the South Okanagan Women In Need Society thanks to many other supporters who will be thanked publicly later so as not to miss anyone. You are great supporters of our community. Thank you.
