It is sad to read the online comment from Dwayne Hutchinson (Western News, March 29, in the Social media shoutout section) regarding $10 a day daycare, though I realize it is not an uncommon sentiment.
I too raised kids as a single parent on low pay with no special child care help. That’s exactly why I want no other child or parent to go through what we did.
I’m sure most of the people who don’t want to protect today’s vulnerable children profess to be Christian. Whatever happened to being your brother’s keeper? Should only the children of the rich have safe, responsible daycare?
