Here is a lovely description of what Penticton could be, although describing a place called Lanzarote, put the name of our town in its place:

Penticton a splendid place for a relaxing sun holiday. What you experience — fairly unspoiled, low-rise buildings, environmentally conscious — results from the absolutely impactful efforts of the 20th century architect, painter and sculptor, a man with a broadly successful mission to protect, from over-development. You don’t come here for mad “nightlife,” but rather for a relaxing “chill-out” or “escape” from your base

We could safely say that this is the kind of ambiance that most people wish for who have come here to live, and also those who have come here to visit. A place that is so much needed in this day of rushing and stress.
