The Mirror Image Room provided wigs and headwear, free of charge to women going through chemotherapy and losing their hair. All the services were donated and run by volunteers.
Fortunately we have been able to retain all the supplies and office furniture to locate to another room or office. Unfortunately we do not have the finances required to rent a room. Therefore we are looking for a place in the community where we can set up our wigs and continue to provide this much needed service which covers an area from Summerland to Osoyoos to Princeton.
Our needs are minimal: one room approximately 12 feet by 12 feet with access to a bathroom. Our volunteers provide appointments one afternoon per week and will also do special appointments as necessary. If your office/business/building can offer us such a space, please contact me at aemark@shaw.ca.
