Letter: Calling all election candidates

I invite all candidates for city council as well as engaged citizens to an all candidates forum

Penticton has a rich culture and a great arts community.

Most of us want to live in communities where there is an underlying vibrancy, creativity and welcoming public spaces. Research attests to the importance of arts and culture in our cities.

I dream of a city where the arts thrive and are sustained by a city council that recognizes its integral importance in life satisfaction, economic development and infrastructure.

To that end, I invite all candidates for city council as well as engaged citizens to an all candidates forum on arts and culture, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. at the Cannery Brewery Company at 198 Ellis St.

Join me for conversations that matter.
