I am writing to express my distaste about the proposed waterslide set to destroy Skaha Park.
It has taken years to secure that land and years more to develop. Waterslides are a thing of the past and constantly going out of business.
I have two young daughters and I couldn’t count how many times we attend and host functions Skaha Park. A commercial enterprise in that location would be an ungodly eyesore and yet another parking lot. The worst part, this facility would be operational two, maybe three months of the year.
I know for a fact my companies will be contributing to the legal funds needed to combat this matter. It is a shame the city is wasting tax dollars on this fight.
