Our handsome, very active and athletic 33-year-old grandson, Chad Bozak is fighting the fight of his life with Cancer (Lymphoma).

Chad grew up in Penticton and graduated from Penticton Secondary School. He is being treated at the Cancer Clinic at the University Hospital in Saskatoon and has just had his ninth chemotherapy treatment. He has a very positive attitude and is in a good frame of mind at this time.

Our family are all very grateful and humbled by the outpouring of love, respect and generosity people from all four western provinces have extended to Chad in his time of need. The family is overwhelmed by the generous support of the 162 people who contributed to his GoFundMe account, one as far away as Australia.

We also extend our heartfelt thank you to the Penticton slo-pitch community for the generous financial gift that they gave Chad — funds that were raised at the Smokin’ Aces Icebreaker tournament. There are a lot of people with kind hearts. Chad is our only grandson, it’s tough.

Thank you, one and all.

Ed and Alma Lekei
