Letter: Impressive ceremonies for Remembrance Day

We had the privilege of attending two impressive ceremonies this week honouring our fallen soldiers.

We had the privilege of attending two impressive ceremonies this week honouring our fallen soldiers.

On Tuesday evening we attended the Naramata Choir who had a splendid Songs of Peace program. Their musical selections were very apropos and beautiful to listen to.

Justin Glibbery and the choir did an excellent job.

The concert on Remembrance Day, again was an experience not to be missed.

What really impressed us were the hundreds of children in attendance. Thank you parents for bringing your children. As both Sigrid and I came from the Netherlands over 50 years ago, we still have very fond memories of the Canadians who were part of the liberation force in Europe. We both survived the war years and although quite young, do remember the day that the Allied forces came to town.

Thank you goes to all veterans and to Canada in general for sending your troops.
