On Saturday, Oct. 29 around 1:30 p.m., I had a nasty fall at Skaha Park.
I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to the lady on the bicycle who helped me to my feet and to the couple who helped me to the park bench and stayed with me until my friend arrived. I am so sorry that I did not get names but I am sure you know who you are.
As a result of the accident, surgery was required but I am happily on the mend.
I moved to this town just 16 months ago and I have experienced more kindness in that short time here than I did in the big city I left. It is so easy just to be kind to one another and thank you to those of you who were.
