If you want to see Mother Nature in action, trek down the Channel Parkway to view the returning sockeye salmon.
It’s a glorious sight — thousands of them. It’s a shame the dam (built in 1953) behind the S.S. Sicamous impedes the fish from venturing further.
Does anyone know why a fish ladder was never included in with the dam construction and would anyone know if there are plans afoot to correct this omission?
